A new bunch of viruses, malware, spywares around use this technique to hide themselves from the users. Seems like a new work around in the registry can hide files with hidden attribute, and disable the show hidden files option in the Folder options.


Even after you set the option to show hidden files and folders. It comes back to Do not show hidden files and folders.

Here is a solution to this problem. Go to Run>type Regedit and press enter.
Now navigate to

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL

Make sure there is an entry called CheckedValue with type REG_DWORD and value is '1'

Now come back to folder option and set show hidden files and it will work

Orkut, Gmail and Yahoo mail have become almost unavoidable sites for many of us. So everyday atleast 4-5 times i check these sites. I am not sure about how most of you open these.

Assuming most of you go through the traditional way of logging in after typing "www.orkut.com" or "www.gmail.com". I will present you a better way.

Requirement: Google Talk

Sign-In to Google Talk and enable remember the password option. Then each time you open it automatically it connects. Then after I opens just hover your mouse over your login name at the top for 1 second.


then click the link thats shown in red lining. this opens the orkut profile with current gmail id signin too. then for gmail inbox use the below link.
